                                                  THE BRANCH SERVICE OFFICER.

Some of the duties of the Branch Service officer are to identify and assist those veterans whom have unmet health needs and those whom may be entitled to possible benefits from VAC.

The branch service officer can help by making appropriate referrals to the Command Service Officers.

By outlining programs that are available to veterans and helping to understand and fill out forms the branch service officer can assist in achieving these goals.

All inquiries to the service officer are handled in a confidential and private manner and no one outside the service officer has knowledge of the client’s information without written consent from that client (Veteran).

The branch service officer has the responsibility to assist and provide some of the services the Legion has to offer at the branch level.  Veterans, spouses and dependents can access some of these emergency services locally if they qualify.

Remember, One does not have to be a legion member to access these services, but must be a veteran as defined by Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) and The Royal Canadian Legion (RCL).

Please direct all confidential inquiries to:

Robert Hutchison, Branch 257 Service Officer.
